Ibanez Destroyer DT520 Black:

I also found a NIB Ibanez Destroyer DT520 in a flame maple red/yellow sunburst, but just don't dig the color....still has the plastic on the covers and original strings. Bought as a potential investment.

So did the Floyds only come on the 3 pickup model ? The color aint bad on the Flame Maple/Yellow Sunburst.And what is on the back of the headstock on the Black one ? Looks like fine tuners but the floyd has them so whats the point ? Ive never seen that.

Those are thumbscrews that are used to fasten the hex keys to the back of the headstock.

This was supposed to provide a convenient place to keep the hex keys, other than the guitar case.

No. The one Phil Collen played was a hardtail that Ibanez installed 3 humbuckers in at his request in 1980 - way before Def Leppard.

Collen had a Kahler installed on it just before joining Def Leppard.

All the production DT555 3 pickup models had the Ibanez Edge Tremolo.

It was horrible...so bad that I had Wayne Charvel install a Floyd on mine in 1984, right after I bought it.

Problem for me with a Floyd bis I play aggressively and tend to drive notes sharp when playing rythym...
 
After careful study and pondering......the BLACK with gold metals and FLOYD is TOTALLY 120% 80's metal band correct......the right axe the right excess the right EVERYTHING ----

IF that is the direction your going musically you MUST HAVE that guitar. period

THis is NEVER going to work.........pull the plug.......go back to ball room dancing........we are done here DONE --- I can not WORK in these conditions....these artists are just RIDICULOUS!!!!!
I shoulda gone into the butcher business with my Uncle Sal, ---- why didnt I listen to mom ---- now I have BOOTS.....and CONCHO hats........UGH! shoot me!

LOL my boots and hat date back to 1981.....i ditched that hat for this photo because the photog said he couldn't see my face..... :)
