Did you go to their parade?

I’ve never gone to anything like this. But, given the rarity of winning the Cup and the historical significance to the city, I kinda felt like I should be there, especially since it only cost the price of Metro fare. Two of my sons went with me.

It was absolutely packed. But, to the credit of the fans, everything went off well and there were no crowd issues.

I went with my son (17yrs old). I have never seen or smelled so much weed being smoked. Philly recently decriminalizef less than an ounce. My coat stunk.

It was awesomely crazy

Weed you say.......... decriminalized you say.......REALLY why is this NOT all over the news ??????
When Colorado did it there where all sorts of gate mongers claiming the end of civilization was upon us......
Well it is the "brotherly love" city ............

Yeah. DC has decriminalized it, too. I smelled some, as well. But, it is still illegal at the federal level. Since a lot of the area of DC is federal property, the smokers have to be careful where they do it.

i LOVE THE WHOLE -- LEGAL LOCAL BUT NOT FEDERALLY--- scam---game -- whatever one wants to call it--

Well at least grandma wont get bully beat down by the fuzz for curing her glaucoma -- or 10 years in the pen because she got caught buying weed off an undercover cop at the church social---

2008 Alaska made it legal for medical use I had a Doctors appointment that day you had to buy a card $375.00 every year and the only Doctors that would issue the card would charge
$600.00 I asked my Doctor I bet you will have a bunch of people asking for this card she said what they don't know is they will be put on a DEA hit list.
Now it's legal for personal use. And it will be a gun grab issue. I live in a bear infested town I will stick to my guns.

From the picture it looks like everyone in the crowd has cell phones...what a surprise!

;>)/

Yeah. That's pretty much the case.

The funny thing is, as the buses passed by, several of the players had their phones out taking pictures of the crowd, too!

In this picture, Alex Ovechkin is holding the Cup. The man in the suit in front of him is Ted Leonsis, the owner of the Washington Capitals.

the new way toi view the world -- through a 5.5" screen.........

Funny, huh...or sad.

I only took pictures or short video snippets. I watched nearly the whole thing directly. I had the thought that I don't want to remember this for only how it looked through an iPhone.

Hey Witty Smitty...if there is ever a CFL expansion team in Washington or Baltimore again then you'll have the chance to win the Grey Cup just like Baltimore did in the 1990's...the first American team to win the cup. They were the COLTS at first but of course Indianapolis fought that in court so they became the Baltimore Stallions. A little bit of trivia for you since you live in the area.

Yeah...I gotta see if I can watch some of that CFL football. The differences between that and the NFL intrigue me. Even if I have to watch a recorded game from some website, I think it would be interesting.
