Hi all.
I'm devastated. I thought It could never happen to me. I broke the headstock from my '12 LP standard. Thankfully It can repaired. It is a partial headstock break. The front part has not broken. I made a wooden template so I could press it properly when I'll glued it. On Monday I will do It with titebound wood glue. Wish me luck!IMG-20230923-WA0012_copy_864x1536.jpgIMG-20230923-WA0008_copy_864x1536.jpgIMG-20230923-WA0001_copy_864x1536.jpgIMG-20230923-WA0003_copy_864x1536.jpgIMG-20230923-WA0005_copy_864x1536.jpg

Thanks. I don't think so. Just It's my faulty
Only guitar I own that I'm emotionally attached to is my acoustic Ovation I bought new in 1974. It'd suck if I did this to one of my electrics... but it wouldn't be the end of the world. But if I broke the Ovation..... lets just say my emotional break down would not be pretty. So boy.... do I understand how you feel.

Big bummer! How did it break?
I leave it on a wall mount, as I had done thousands of times, I turn around and after three seconds I hear Crack! the guitar on the floor and the neck broken. It doesn't have any other knocks. I honestly don't know what the hell I did. The wall support is in perfect condition. I guess I didn't place it properly. I had not drunk or taken any medication. I am desolate. I am always very careful with fragil things. Some people say LP's with broken neck sounds better but It wasn't my purpose.

Welcome to the club!

The headstock broke on my 1974 SG several years ago. After executing a repair, it is as solid as ever and plays fine today.

Yes, it’s a shock when it happens and it makes you feel horrible, but once you get back into the groove of using the instrument again, it just becomes a battle scar.
Yeah! I'm feeling really bad. I guess the time cures everything.

Yup, I can relate to being pissed-off at myself for making a costly mistake. I try to be very careful with most things, but crazy poop still happens. Hope your repair turns out well… :fingersx:
