You get what you pay for. IMO, for a sophisticated and boutique style amps, Mesas are very reasonable.

On a massive song writing binge...major line up change this past 2 weeks..all ready to mic & go ...noticed something... ..really went more American slant..that full strumming to big open has been opening up the songs alot..Almost always do this every new CD..the gear influences the playing a lot

I echo this exactly. Considering the tones and build quality, Mesa could certainly charge much more than they do and people would still line up to buy them. I feel they are the best overall value in high-end amps available.

I doubt i will ever move away from the DSL40C for live work. Even when up against full stacks, the DSL40C with Electro-Harmonix 12VR75 speaker, just destroys them for sheer high-volume clarity. Even at WFO, there is no distortion or break up. Everywhere i set up, i get compliments on my tone and clarity.

I'll probably spend the extra amp money on motorcycle accessories....
