I ride my bicycle...

No threat of rain today, and wanted to get a few clicks in so decided to try a Tour de Delta. Feeling a bit better than last weekend so waited until 1pm to catch the max temp for the day.
Headed out around 8C... rather nippy...

Around 10kms in I had to turn on the heated gloves and vest...



Deas Island park slough almost empty...

As Homer would say... BORING!



OK fine then!



A million years ago I was the DJ at a friend's bachelor party here. The young lady who was providing the evening "entertainment" was upset at my choice of first song. I then found out it was because it was supposed to be her opening song as well. Oops... Oh well, DJ Dave says once it starts ya gotta let it go...

Looks like a pretty fancy club house for a tiny 9 hole pitch and putt...



On the way home...





Ended up cutting it a bit short at 36kms, but it did feel good to get out!
 
Great pictures as usual , but that building having that roof that looks like its leaning inward towards the building, were those guys drinking at the time they put that in, why would they build it that way. Or is it the way the picture was taken, looks can be deceiving.

Tough to tell innit?
The fact that the front supports are angled makes the whole entrance/walkway look sus indeed.
Would need to go back and take another serious look at it methinks, but I'd be shocked if it slanted inwards/down toward the face of the building.

Yes I would think so, can't imagine all that rain water going towards the building, not a good building practice.
 
Friday I felt like carp, but decided to quickly head out to the grocery store to return an item that had been recalled. Uncomfortable... weather was iffy and only 10C. Rained on my way back.
Yesterday I felt much better and the weather was stellar pushing 15C with sunshine.
Off to the greenway...

You need a keen eye to see the water line. Must be at least 1.5kms out...



Water break, and it was warm enough to ditch my jacket!



On my way back a bunch of us had to wait. Massive amounts of coal heading to Point Roberts...





Great fun and happily left my heated vest and gloves at home... finally!
 
Squeaked in an other short ride yesterday after grocery shopping to gather a couple of things I needed at a couple of different stores.
The weather was nice enough at 16C that I didn't bother with a jacket at all. Gorgeous out!





Under the bridge is a little noisy...



Into a small park near there...



All these cedar logs are processed at this mill...



The boys of summer are back. The batter cracked a single which resulted in a RBI...

Another friend says I must throw the bike in the car, drive to various places and take pictures of it and surrounding scenery. Then load the bike up and go home. :ROFLMAO:
 
Dealing with the new reality of whatever ails me lately. That said, got out for a couple of short rides this weekend. Such a gorgeous day today. Left wearing a short sleeve shirt, and a light sweater with fingerless gloves...



The pump track was a little busier today...



These boys were getting serious, and the coach was even more so. I'll call him "concerningly aggressive"...





The girls in blue were getting hammered by their own infield errors today...



When I headed home, I ditched the sweater. So nice!
 
Today was brilliant. 20C+ and gorgeous out. First ride of the year in shorts and short sleeves. Felt fantastic!
After mowing the front lawn and doing a bit of weeding I had to get out for a ride.

Down to the bay, as it has been a few weeks since. This entrance to the Greenway is a bit steeper than it looks...





Well dang it!!! The Nemesis puddle is back! This was a real surprise because April has been the driest month in B.C. for well over 100 years! When I stopped for the pic, a jogger went passed the sign and decided to turn back after seeing it... yeah, no kidding!



Oh well. Turned around and took an alternate route I rarely ride...





Riding past the low rent neighborhood...



I sometimes ride up this hill. This time I'm heading down. This is around 14-15% grade and I reached almost 50kmh on the descent...



And here we are with the tide way out there again...







Warm out, so time for a water break. I watched with interest as a gent unloaded his bike, strapped on a small foldable stool, and an acoustic guitar before heading out. I told him I liked his style...



Time to go...
