My city racer, aboutn 25 years old and built by me from parts - many old Campagnolo components, but Magura brakes which already saved my life.

The trike looks like a ton of fun.
Yes, indeed, it is fun. But there is room for improvement, mostly faster tyres (not too light, however - trikes are different), a harder seat for more efficiency. And guess what, i am trying to make one from wood ;-)

Very cool. You see trikes around the Boise area but around my small town i have yet to see one. I've always wanted to try them.

Love it!! Bikes were a huge part of my life for many years. I started racing mountain bikes in about 1990 and that lasted up until '97, when I moved to California from MD. At that time I did a lot of road riding as I was living in the Pasadena area and basically at the foothills so there were lots of mountain roads, passes, canyons to ride. My riding took a back seat to skateboarding sometime around 2004-2005 when they started opening a ton of new skateparks in SoCal, but I keep a nice hybrid and do regular rides up the coast from where I live in Hermosa Beach to Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades.

maybe i owe You a picture of it present and almost final state - position a lot lower and a lot of fine tuning of the chain. A lot lighter as well. On the todo list is a thin cushion - although i can and do ride without any. But not with power uphill... well, i could replace the tubes against tubes providing less friction.

Meanwhile it is fast enough that disks for the wheels would make a difference, and maybe on the long term i'll need slightly shorter cranks (165mm) - but i still have to figure out. A windshield would be nice - but the position is too low for it. And adapting the seat seat was such an effort that i simply do not want to change the position
