Astral Traveler
Ambassador of Both Time and Space
It has a bit of a back story, but to nor bore you I'll keep it brief. I think I posted about this guitar before bit it might have had humbuckers by then. It's in a local music store but the store isn't the seller. The last time it was for sale (a year ago?) it never met the reserve.
Advertised as a 1967 but I think it's a 69. It started its life as a Music Maker with the large headstock, was given two humbuckers, broke the headstock, was sold to Sweden on Reverb, was painted (with a brush by the looks of it) white, was converted to a Junior with a home made pick guard. And here we are. Seller is up fron with everything.
This is what it looked like before it was shipped off to Sweden:
Gibson SG MELODY MAKER 1967 PLAYER'S GRADE Gibson SG MELODY MAKER 1967 PLAYER'S GRADE | The Psychiety Outlet | Reverb
This is what it looks like now:
Surprisingly, it played really well with low action, great fret work, lovely chunky (and straight) neck. I have no idea what it looks like under the pick guard. Current bid is $530 which is probably what it's worth. I think it will go up, no one else had been in to see it so I suspect I'm the only one who knows what it really looks like. I liked it but I'm not willing to pay a lot more than 530 for it.
