During the past couple of weeks I’ve been dedicating some free time to guitar maintenance. I enjoy these sessions pretty regularly. I usually space them out, and do one or two per month or so. Not this winter though. I made a bulk purchase at Strings and Beyond, and once I got started I kept on going...and worked right on through these five in a couple of weeks.
Now this entire rack of five is freshly strung, cleaned, lubed, and really nicely(to me)set up.
I even decided to change up string gauge a bit, as an experiment. That’s an idea that I have not entertained in a very long time, as I have been happily using 10s for what seems like forever.
Since I went on this bender fairly recently, most of these have popped up in RVA's “the muse I adorn” thread. I came home tonight(no days off for me this week) kinda beat, and when I popped down to the studio, I was happy to find this crew all ready to go.

Since they’re not all Gibson(there’s a Gladiator, a Squier, and the back of an Xavier) in the shot, I figured I’d post this here. One of these guitars pictured has just had a set of pickups wound for it, and they are on the way here...so I get to rip it apart again
...but that’s another topic that will hopefully include sound clips.
I also wanted to say thanks to the crew on this board that helps in keeping this hobby fun, and shares their knowledge freely here.
So....thanks!
