I just applied for a new job

The director of the department that I work in moved on a little over a month ago. We had a replacement scheduled to start this past Monday, but he will not be joining us after all. I just sent an application to the boss here expressing my interest in filling this position. We shall see what we shall see.

So it's official now. I just finished touching up my resume and submitting it to HR. Previously I had only replied back to the owner's son's (who pretty much runs the place) email when he sent an all staff email that the guy that was supposed to start last Monday will not be joining us.
