I got new pickups on the way

Did not expect it, they have plugs on them ?
Now that’s a dilemma. Push / pull pots :bash: I did not anticipate that.
They sell it as a kit but a little late for that now.

I know I can wire them in but it’s just kind of irritating . Can’t beat the price. Honestly, I might have bought the the whole kit with pots and wiring but it literally doubles the price.

It’s not a big deal but I wouldn’t mind trying it.
I know my Classic has the plugs but I probably won’t change those out, well maybe to try them. I could do a back to back comparison.
I wonder if it is the same plug and wiring in the Gibson. It definitely has the push pull pots.

Just for clarification:
Pups have the quick connect plugs, but guitar doesn't?
Or does the guitar have the quick connect PCB with p/p pots?
Or do you have solder p/p pots and quick connect pups?

I was going to put them in the Ebony Studio it does not have push pull pots. The Gibson does have a board in it but I have never taken it apart.
I have a dozen pickups laying around.

Yes, correct.

It is possible I could pop these pickups in the classic to try them without any modifications, that would allow me see if it’s worth doing the push/pulls or just cutting the plugs off of the Probuckers and installing them in the Studio.
