Hyundai does it again

In my part of the world even when going to work every day, there was only 3 or 4 times out of the entire winter where I wish I’d have had better tires in snow… or something like these. Now that we’re both retired. We just stay home till roads are cleared. And if we did need to get out, her SUV is AWD and would do a decent enough job getting us somewhere. Like a needed quick trip to the store.

In fact. A couple months before I retired I needed to reskin the Civic. I did not put good all weather tires on it like was being replaced. And the car does stay in the garage now on those ickey days. These days I stay home on a forecast.

Same here. No need to go out when there’s snow on the road. Heck, I didn’t venture out for 18 days during our blizzard earlier this year.

Thing is. Lived my entire life in the northern 1/3 of Illinois. We get snow in the winter. Most times only a little bit. Sometimes a lot. Been driving on winter roads for over 50 years, so it’s not something that intimidates me. I know I can get from point A to point B. Ya just have to plan ahead and not get in a hurry.

It’s the other idiots out there I worry about.

We just had 5" of snow the rain took it away didn't have to fire up the snowblower
I did do some maintenance on my blower this weekend. Second pull it started and ran. Only needed to use it 3 or 4 times all last winter. The other times I just used the shovel or let it melt.
