How well do you know your neighbor?

:rolf:
Oh i know my neighbors well. Exotic animals? Of course! If by exotic you mean, lanky, toothless methhead pillbillies who crawl around in the 2ft of Savannah-esque grass they never mow, looking for imaginary cameras and microphones they are certain the FBI planted: then yep, gotcha covered lmao

No exotics here at the NE Illinois Chateau. Just the usual deer, raccoon, and the occasional skunk. We do have a mom and pop red tail hawk that make their home in one of our trees. 2-3 baby red tail hawks each spring/summer. Same story with a sandhill crane family that was making our timber home to nest a couple babies a year. Haven’t seen them for a couple seasons now.

obviously ya'll aint been in MY HOOD BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

by the way anyone seen that damn Giraffe? ...... THink she is sitting on a nest or something .... cant find her .........

and again INSANITY ties back to FLORIDA ........................................

I know people who volunteer at the big cat rescue in Tampa (the ire of crazy Joe Exotic) ...............and for the record I am (OBVIOUSLY) an animal lover (Tigers are cool...... but .... THEY ARE FVCKING HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) and eat ...... YOU !!!!

I have dogs ....big ones that are "technically" capable of the same ...... however ......... at 130lbs (my puppy bear Odin) vs a 490 lb tiger ......Im rather sure my ODS with a domesticated dog breed (asleep literally under my desk right now) are FAR FAR FAR better ................. we do have this one 5lb mental case of a Chihuahua however, "Diago" that has been plotting my demise for years.......I see it in his eyes........if he figures out how to use a gun im screwed!!!!!

SERIOUSLY though I understand the keeping the species alive and I am glad people champion this cause. ....... but keeping one in a SUBURBAN HOME is just "mental" and should be dealt with by authorities asap ... I mean it just NEVER ends well ... the "bear" guy got killed by a bear -- the crocodile hunter guy got stabbed by a ray .....Roy (or zigfried??) got attacked and mauled....... I mean -- it JUST doesnt end well.

Is that the same lady who ran a big cat rescue in the late eighties near Naples? I knew a guy down in Naples - Marco Island area back then who ran a wolf rescue, and introduced me to a woman who ran a cat rescue. They got all the "cast aways" from when the cops would bust drug dealers who would have wolves or lions, or tigers, or whatnot protecting their compounds. They also got a lot of the "Wouldn't it be fun to have a pet _______", until they realized how much it costs to feed a big cat.

EJ always promised me a pick of any wolf I liked, as they interacted with me like he never saw in any other human. I always wanted to take him up on it, but never had a lifestyle that would be fair to the wolf. One of my biggest regrets, but then I'm also happy to be smart enough to know that it would have not been a good situation for the animal.

Probably the same though I cant guarantee it-- and it is sad how many people think (even having a puppy -- kitten-- sloth --child or what have you) will be FUN LETS RUN OUT AND GET ONE ......and regret it 4 days in to the process.......... Good on you for being an adult and a responsible human ;)

Many of the critters here on Misfit farm are just that -- cast offs that people got and didnt want to FOLLOW THROUGH with

Just wondering. When the animal control folk wander thru MisFit Farms….. where do you hide the pet gator?
