Ok, let's check the boxes:
Step 1: check. I do it, except that sometimes I do buy stuff. But I do play at music shops.
Step 2: blank
Step 3: blank, I never do that
Step 4: blank, I think it's ridiculous. i always compliment anyone who plays an instrument.
Step 5: Check! I hate shredding and I don't really envy shredders and that music doesn't really speak to me.
Step 6: blank. I am not competitive, if a friend plays better than me in my own style, I love it and let him know
Step 7: blank. BS
Step 8: blank. I very rarely learn anything online. I'm an old school rythm player, who used to be a university classical player.
Step 9: blank. I love criticism and think compliments are due to people being friendly, although I play professionally
Step 10: blank, I help EVERYONE.

Great commentary.
I just learned a couple of Albert King licks from one of his Youtube lessons yesterday.
He is a clear and easy to follow instructor. He also explains why it works to play those licks over which chords in the blues progression which I get in theory but is beyond my skill level to put it all together at this point.
I like that he says outright it is a commercial for his paid lessons / site access.
At some point I would consider paid site access, but again, at my skill level there is plenty of free stuff out there.
