How many Guitar amps do you need

Ok lets get serious now

1 open back 10" cab and 1 close back 10"
1 12" open back and close back cab
1 4-10" open back and close back cab.
1 2-12" open back and close back cab.

1 head of every model Fender and Mesa, makes.

And then I would commission Smitty to build a switching pedal for me to select which ever head and cabinet combo I wanted.

thats for me of course your needs may vary, after all I am just a bed room noodler.

Not @Robert Herndon 's amp!!!

I already called dibs on that one, after he keels over at his recording desk from working himself to death.

(I should start a new band....we'll call ourselves, "The Vultures". We'll get all our gear from estate sales of people who have died!)

I've slowed down a lot over the past 2 weeks...more so than ever as I can recall...

Need? If still gigging and/or performing I’d say a minimum of five. I’ve got about 15, but that’s just the way I am.

You will always need a versatile small venue amp of the user’s favorite flavor.

Then, for recording or larger venues you would need various amps for specific purposes.

My choices are one each of a master and non-master volume Marshall, a Hiwatt, a nice Fender or two, an AC30 (or AC15), and an old Ampeg, Gibson, Selmer, or other interestingly voiced amp.
