...that I get a new guitar with a possible cracked neck and I've only had it for 24 hours,
but I feel attached to it and don't want to let it go???

I have never bonded instantly with a guitar before...

What the hell and why does it have to have an issue...

It was found by a reputable and competent tech to be a finish issue at this point. It does hold tune just fine...It's in the shop being fixed up like new under warranty right now. I should have it back by next Wednesday...
