Yep, yep, yeppers. Looks almost like an ES150 to me like the one Charlie Christian was pictured with! Betcha it sounds good w/ a little amp from the same period, with the field coil speakers. Probably expensive for the times too .. now if it could only tell stories heck it's older than we are!

need to add----- After I got hold of John Mayall w/ Eric Clapton in 66' album, well, at that moment it was over for me for the rest of my life! Of course the second one " Hard Road " w/ Peter Green was another booster stage to this day and the rest of my life. And what happens in May of 2006 in Philly … my life comes full circle ….

I waited till there was a lul in the show and went right up to the owner of the booth , Maverick Music, and presented my dilemma to the British bloke, he just looked at me and said nothing at first .. then replied " Sure, why not, that's what there really for " and I spent a half hour undisturbed, and those that know me know that I'm rarely ever undisturbed, Playing that same guitar that Peter Green used on the second,
" A Hard Road " in 67' John Mayall album, and it just Oosed music and had an aura of energy around it! Gary Moore used it extensively till the proprietor bought it from Garry Moore .
Wow! I am officially green with envy, Sir. That guitar is THE holy grail in my book.

I will add just a little bit to my post. I wish I would have stayed with it when I had the chance but just didn't. I left my guitar sitting in the closet to many years at a time. Since I retired and started building partscaster and now a couple out of popsicle sticks I have found it very rewarding and pick up my guitars on a daily basis several hours a day, well when I'm not gluing sticks....

Nice find there Mark... one day sniffing around in a little music store in Smithtown, NY someone shows up with one of those 56 LP's , he said he bought it as an investment, I got to play one. Very highly recommended alnico neck which blew me away and played like butta`... meanwhile I was after a Gretsch 56` Duo Jet with those DeArmond pups cause the sound of those blew me away. Put a blue light on it and counted 9 breaks or repairs so I offered $500 and well he was firm .. sold it 3 times & the third guy kept it for $1500.

I knew/suspects my buddies were up to something along with the town cop! Cause next thing ya know I'm getting my eggs busted … so he asks me if I've ever been arrested, so I go, yes, he goes what for, I tell him Mayhem, what else, armed robbery , what else, Murder! Then things get more terse, pad out, he wants to know my name, Sammy, Sam Smith, then he goes, what's the street addy, I tell him Smith Road, he goes where's that, where else, Smithtown … immediately the whole luncheonette including me and the cop, Laughing our arses off!

Facedancer was a BIG deal in our local clubs in the early 80's. I was too young to go see them, but had I gone, I would have seen Sandy.
