Yeah, that's Pamela Des Barres. She wrote a book about her groupie adventures, it's pretty good and well worth reading.

FZ was a genius level modern composer, and one hell of a bandleader.

He's my favorite artist, someday I will tell the Zappa story of meeting him at his hotel after his Uptown Performances in Chicago.

The tour , the year before the Aragon Ballroom, the old Uptown Theater.

Where the union held up Zappa for money, as did the venue.

Zappa wanted a live recording, and in true Chicago style, they tried to extort ghost payments.
