I moved recently from TN back close to home in South Dakota. My folks live 60 miles north of me and are 88 and struggling with all of the crap old age and loss of mobility and such.

My movers took extra long in delivering my goods - if you're planning to move at some point I have some questions you need to ask your mover - they seem to be going to the freight scheduling method where the pick up and delivery are sub contracted out - something that doesn't get mentioned up front.

So amps set inside

I have been enjoying running them at 85-100db and outside - even with big windows is 30dB less. I was blasting some AC/DC today and the bird bath 10' from the house still had customers.

I'm 30+ miles from Mt Rushmore but couldn't see the show as there is at least one or more ridges higher than the 4000 ft I'm at.

Some more pics.

I'm literally at the bottom of the Black Hills. A fire went through in 2007 and took out most of the trees in the back canyon. The flats in the south distance is Nebraska.

This is 20 - 30 miles north of me, the highest mountain range between the Rockies and the Alps.

The house is a much built on farmish house and is generally ugly. It has a bedroom above the garage that is 16x28' and I keep thinking recording studio / jam room. I'll need to do some loud radiation testing to see if it is worthy.

While it gets hot here the low humidity drops the night time temps by more than 30°. I used the AC 4 times [until the outside evening temps dropped into the 70's] in June.
