Robert, if it is still available, I'd get it for you and mail you the head. I could always keep the cab and you'd get a cheap head to try. Not too pricey proposition if it all works.
Robert,
Have you thought of something like a Kemper?
To be honest, I seriously doubt any nuanced difference between this and a real amp will be perceivable when playing live. It’s possible a difference won’t be perceived under just about any situation!

There are profiles that you can download and tweak, in addition to profiling an amp on your own.
Here’s a little demo. Kemper seems to have cracked the code of sound and feel.
@Robert Herndon ,
I have the ultimate solution.
Get a Kemper, load it with a good profile, and tweak it to sound just the way you want.
Then, get a shell of an amp head and put the Kemper inside of it.
Have a “Von Herndon” logo made and attach it to the front of the amp head.
You’re welcome!
Some more Kemper demo stuff...

Robert, I heard back from the guy who has this amp and cab. Any interest in the amp? He has both listed for $290 and I am sure he might go a little lower. I sent you some pics to Facebook

Can you see this pic?
I'm surprised you've never heard of it.I've never heard of a Kemper....????

Kemper (and the Axe-FX for that matter) are currently the ultimate in solid state technology with built in options-galore. The Kemper does not come in a combo construction, but you can get the Kemper head with or without its own power. It's a whole other world, and it's not cheap either.
And?Axe-FX I have played through in the studio
And?
Yeah, with the Axe-Fx you still need a separate power amp and speaker cab. There might be others, but I think that Line 6 makes a power amp and speaker combo that can be used with the Axe-Fx preamp/effects processor. All adds up to some big bucks!!!!Good sound. Can give any tone imaginable. In a contract studio environment, the producer will usually dial in the tone he or she envisions for a given recording project, so rack mount stuff In general is popular.
Not something that appeals to me for my own use though....I guess I'm slow to warm up to new technology
Robert, I know you're out of country and being judicious with funds. I was seeing how I might hook up a brother. Looks like I need to find a junky who is jonesing for more amps elsehere. Maybe the deep South.
