Holy Smokes!

But..................
The Bruins beat the Capitals! And that’s what counts! It took us 15 games to do it....
But hey! We did it!!!

I grew up in a small town just South of Parry Sound Ontario, Bobby's Home Town, I know Bobby and his Brother Ronnie, also knew his Mother. Bobby one heck of a Phenomenal Hockey Star!! I am not sure if you know this guy Alan Eagleson? He taught me how to swim, while he was going through for a Lawyer at the University of Toronto at the time, he was a lifeguard for 2yrs during the summer months. Also do you remember Roger Crozier, who was a Goaltender for the Detroit Red Wings. He used to on occasion come and visit my buddy's Father, He was awesome to us kids a great guy!

I am happy for all to whom this comes as good news.
I have lost my passion for the NFL.
I never got into watching hockey.

I played hockey as a kid, out on ponds and in town Rec program; looking back I wish I would have played for school teams.
I was a good skater and fair stick handler with good wrist and snap shot accuracy.
My slap shots were a bit more dicey.

It was a battle of defensive prowess.

I stopped watching at halftime for two reasons:

1. I pretty much had it figured that the halftime show would trigger me.

2. As you all may recall, I am a Bandwagon Fan. By halftime, the bandwagon felt like it was still in the parking lot getting loaded up, so I got off. I did want the Patriots to win, though. So, one of my Bandwagon Teams won! This allows me to feel good until next season and to talk about how “my team” won the Super Bowl.

Mission accomplished!

All kidding aside, the Rams did set a Super Bowl record for the most consecutive drives ending in a punt (eight).
Time to kill the turd bowl with fire--------

the best part of the thing is the damn commercials(ah marketing) -- the halftime show always SUCKS -- the games typically a snore fest (case in point see quote above) ---

I went to the store---- I can say 2 decades ago (Christ Im old) if I went to the store DURING the super bowl -- it would be EMPTY---crickets--- and some bloke WATCHING the game on a small tv PISSED I interrupted him to check out................now-- Publix was packed---- gas station average busy -- many folks out on the roads -- doing....things....

Its certainly losing its luster and appeal --- could be the mulitmillion dollar salaries-- or the sociopolitical rederick the NFL has been pushing -- but -- many people have stopped caring-- and -- well-- there ya go--

ANd I say this as once a STANCH FOOTBALL FANATIC-- played it -- ate slept drank it -- LOVED the game--- but its just not the same-- damn I am old

HEY DON -- on a more important note ---- THAT DAMN BASS OF YOURS IS THE BEST LOOKING T-40 I HAVE EVER SEEN--
can you send pics to Peavey and see if that was a FACTORY color?? if it was/is -- its RARE dude--- seriously

I wasn’t kidding. Longest punt in a super bowl record was also set by the Rams punter. That’s the way a “big defense” game usually goes....low scoring, lots of punting....until one team wears out first, and makes an error.
It was definitely one of those kinds of battles.

It’s a factory color. It came with either fretboard option...maple or rosewood. I’m not sure that it was a color option for the whole ten year production run, but at least the first few years though.
I’ve seen pictures with pickups like mine most often(the toasters), but a few pictures are floating around with blade pickups and more or the body contouring that developed through the early 80s.
They’re out there, but they do look mighty good to some of us...I could see them NOT being put up for sale, willingly, often.
Since I haven’t had it to play, I’ve been researching it more.
That said...
