Happy New WestCreek Double Neck Guitar Day. I have to blame, err, thank, @BFT Gibson and @Thatbastarddon for this GAS purchase. I must say, for $340 plus tax minus 5% for using the Amazon CC, I’m amazed at the quality of this thing! Made in China, but the workmanship is flawless. The hardware is respectable, the tuners are solid, the pots are viscous like CTS ones (which I like), the neck profiles are comfortable to my hands, fret ends are dressed and the setup is respectable too. It looks like they also used some shielding paint in the electronics cavity too.
I unboxed it, tuned and played it unplugged yesterday. I’ll post some clips later today or tomorrow. I’ll probably not be playing this much standing up given it weighs in at 14.5 pounds ! If you have an inkling on trying a double neck and don’t want to break the bank, this is a nice guitar that I’d recommend. If someone had handed this to me and asked what I thought it sold for I would have said at least a grand, it’s that nice. Proof is in the sound though, so I have a little more investigating to do.
