Happy New V-Drums Set Day.

We did the first practice session in my mile high room last week. The acoustic drum kit is way too loud for the room. Sooooo, I went the Roland electric route. Our first gig is this Saturday and we’ll be back for practice on Tuesday to get this new kit dialed in.

Nice. I have one that is the spitting image of yours. Unfortunately when I moved one year It ended up in my basement and has been there since. Dust has overtaken it, pieces are displaced and I imagine even missing. Been 10 years now.

It’s the TD-17KVX2 set.

This arrived yesterday to complete the kit.

I bought a set off facebook marketplace a while back. Was originally nearly AUD $1k. I got it in good working condition (scuffed, but functional) for AUD $250. Mines a basic Roland TD1KV with a mesh snare pad.

It's not a top grade kit, but for what I do (play along to tracks on my ipod) it works fine. Only has 15 different sound settings though, but apparently I can buy a module off of a better grade of kit and upgrade it.
The mesh snare pad is awesome, the rubber tom pads, not so great.
