HNGD

I've read a lot of good reviews about H-B build quality, and it's hard to say anything bad about the price point.
Nice looking S-style in the pic.
Easy mod platform if you want to swap out electronics or hardware.
Basswood body will be lightweight.
Congrats!
I too have heard good things about HB guitars.
I heard good things too. I just hope it's decent.

I have to say initially that I like the guitar.
I have a Squire Affinity Strat and a older Squire Strat , Fender is definitely going to need to step up their game.
It came tuned about a half step down and held pretty well across the fretboard. I had thought like all the internet that I would just change out the strings but they are very professionally installed and set up well. I'll take a close up.

Chinese pickups are always hit and miss.
I liked the bridge humbucker so much in my initial first play of the guitar I never tried the the singles.

The bride pickup seems like it kind of targets a JB but a less aggressive approach.
I'm sure it doesn't quite have the harmonic content however I just played my lp special with my custom wound SD and this Harely Benton pickup with the SD-1 both with the exact same amp settings and the Harely Benton has the best sounding harmonic feedback even not at ear splitting volume.
Not saying it's a better pickup but I was pleasantly surprised.
I am still going to need to further evaluate the guitar but so far, no negatives.

This is a terrible excuse for my ability and even though I am trying to capture the right harmonic with out cranking it, It seemed stubborn. Still it's a good guitar.
You can hear me trying to sort of vibrato the harmonic to appear and more of strings grinding the fret. Lol
Also pick noise a feature of room / phone recording. Timing is terrible. I need to practice "Let It Roll " more to do justice to UFO.
I don't do recordings to videos mostly because they flag like you are stealing something.
I own the recordings and have several versions over many years but that's another story for another post.

@ibmorjamn you add to the list of people that have nothing bad to say about their out of the box experience with HB guitars.
Never a complaint about playability, hardware, finish, and general quality. Every review usually has a combination of these words, “wow, pleasantly pleased or I can’t believe it’s this good”
There is a guy on YouTube who constantly brags about his blue SG style HB and how it’s his favorite guitar whenever he demos another guitar.

You now make me want to get an HB.

I’m glad you like it and congrats!!
Now get to morjamn!

Thanks LiveeviL 2k, I have never been much of a reviewer or player. Lol
I played past 10:00 last night.
F the neighbors, they make noise while I sleep during the day. Actually the guy next door doesn't he's about 80.
:bash:

I ordered a Harley Benton a while back, it was destroyed in shipping, had to send it back. Looked super cool though!
I remember that , I also remember hoping that didn't happen.

Did you order it from the U.S Harley Benton store on Reverb ?
