Mine had a 289 2 barrelMine was a really ugly light blue. Only redeeming feature was, it did have a 390. May have been just a 2bbl carb. But it still ran decent enough for a heavy car.

Mine had AC too. Roll down all the windows and drive fast.Mine had a 289 2 barrel
And factory air
A friend of mine back in the 80s that worked at the Ford factory for many years told me that the 302 is nothing but a 289 with bigger heads. They had to do that because the 289 was too good, didn't break down enough.Mine had a 289 2 barrel
And factory air
Thats what mine has... I like to make it sound all tough, tell people I have 2-40 air... Two windows down and 40 miles an hour.Mine had AC too. Roll down all the windows and drive fast.
Kinda like Chevy. The 283, 302, 327 and 350 same basic block. Throw in the oddball 305 & 307 as well.A friend of mine back in the 80s that worked at the Ford factory for many years told me that the 302 is nothing but a 289 with bigger heads. They had to do that because the 289 was too good, didn't break down enough.

I was able to purchase mine for $200.00 . I had to go to a junk yard for a transmission, and pull it with a bit of help.. but it was my first car.A friend of mine back in the 80s that worked at the Ford factory for many years told me that the 302 is nothing but a 289 with bigger heads. They had to do that because the 289 was too good, didn't break down enough.
