Ive actually played several of these at random guitar stores-- for what they are -- they are quite fun......

He didn't just "hang on to" the Derrig, he also mistreated the shite out of it. The neck was repaired something like four times. Also tried to "hang on to" the SIR #36 amp that was used in the AFD recordings (well, he actually did for a time), but when they were again using the SIR rehearsal facility the SIR staff took it back & wouldn't rent it to him again. So I guess the guy has light fingers. Cheers

As far as guitars are concerned, the Gibson Explorer Custom is my outer realm as far as price goes. If I found one, that didn't have the disappointing, ant-climatic slim-taper neck failure, i would happily drop $3,995.95 to have one. beyond the $4,000 mark, I wouldn't even consider such a guitar. I only spent about $3,600.00 total on the Von Herndon Double neck.
