Here's The Skinny

Thank you (y)

I picked the guitar up again for the first time just recently and thought my injuries had severely affected my ability on the instrument. But then I remembered I wasn't very good to start with :ROFLMAO:

I was going to ask you the same thing, but I forgot. Hey, have you talked to our Mexican buddy yet? @CoyotesGator did you call him the other day? I didn't call him because you said you were going to.

Yeah, she's kinda not speaking to me just now :ROFLMAO:
A few days ago I had an idea to deal with the phycological aspect that had been playing on my mind. I took some equipment to a local disused quarry. I put a harness on, got roped up and abseiled down a rock face. It was a "get back in the saddle" situation and I wanted to test myself but she found out about it and lost her everloving $hit, calling me every name under the sun including an irresponsible ahole :ROFLMAO:
I understand this psychology very well.
In fact, 3 days from today, I'm going to mount the very same motorcycle I injured myself with, and I'm taking it for a lap. Just one lap. And then, I'm going to park it, and dismount on my own terms.

And then, I'll likely be done.

But I'll be damned if the last time I ever went riding, I went down and was too scared to dust myself off get back on that horse.

The summer of ‘98 I had a bad crash on the sidecar rig at Mosport in Ontario. Where I landed looked like Wile E. Coyote making an implant in the dirt. I was technicolor from the neck down, but luckily broke nothing. Even though I couldn’t move very well, I rebuild the bike and made the next race four weeks later. Had a tough time, but didn’t want to miss the last race of the season, then have to wait until the next season to see if I’d get back on the bike.

You, sir, have a great sense of humor…. The best of the best to you and your continued recovery. And… Welcome back:cheers:
Cheers (y)

Yeah, my wife said her main concern once she knew I would recover physically is if I would be the same person due to the head injury.
On a visit to the hospital she said she heard the sound of a couple of nurses pissing themselves laughing coming from my room and was like "yep he's back, be careful what you wish for" :ROFLMAO:

Holy shït
Glad you're still with us, Kev. That sounds pretty harrowing to say the least.

Jeez, and I thought my injury was pretty bad.....couple of you guys in here make my knee look like child's play!

Best wishes to your continued recovery!
Cheers mate.

It sounds harrowing but it was more overwhelming than anything else. Because of the amount of damage, individual injuries didn't seem to make sense and they all just seemed to blend in to one another. My biggest relief was keeping my leg. They thought my left leg was smashed beyond repair and were considering amputating at the knee but they managed to save it.

Lol, my wife just read my initial post and was like did you forget about your fractured eye socket, collapsed lung, broken ribs and 3 cracked vertebrae ?
Lol yeah thanks for reminding me :ROFLMAO:

He's here now, he hasn't posted yet, but he joined a little while ago. The good thing is, now when we blame everything on him people will know who we're talking about! lol
