Help/Advice Needed - P90 Content:

can it be done without routing???

Of course - it's what the guitar originally had and what is in the neck position. Looks like a stock neck pickup but somewhere along the line somebody pulled the original Mini-Hum and stuck a P-90 in it. They fit the same route using the same mounting bracket so it's and easy conversion.

Awesome, I'll look into that. Thanks!!!

A good friend of mine has a 1970 LP Deluxe Goldtop. And when you play it, you'll instantly know that you got a great sounding guitar. So yeah... +1 on Gibson Minibuckers, as long as the modern ones are the same as the vintage ones.

Thanks, Man...I appreciate the input!

Please, for the love of all things holy, do not let anyone take a router to that guitar. It deserves to be returned to as close to stock as possible.

This is the lead guitarist for the local 'Smoking Guns' band. He's had it since new. The condition I was given was no routing, so I'm respecting that.

We decided to go with a custom hot rod Duncan Antiquities Mini Humbucker that will match the neck in appearance. SD got the order yesterday.
