Oh hi guys, fancy meeting you here..............lol
I haven't had a chance to get the plumbing working yet, but there is a coffee can in the corner if you have to pee and a shovel out back if ya gotta poop.

freezing and snowin up here
In 1972, I took over a couple of postal delivery contracts around Cottage Grove. I was covering a friend's father, who needed surgery and time to recover. I needed the bucks, so it worked out, kinda. I started in late October and by the second week I had learned the routes and was on my own. Well, it hadn't really snowed more than a quick dusting and I had good tires for the weather when it came, but December is a heavy time for mail and what had taken 7-8 easy hours now took 11 or more, starting in the dark and finishing in the dark. In mid Dec I was driving the VW Kombi with snow tires and a happy heart, having made my last delivery for the day, with enough time to have a meal before passing out. Prematurely counted chickens of course. Driving through what had been a light and intermittent powdery snow, suddenly it seemed to be falling in ping-pong and then softball sized clumps, making my headlights useless and trying to find my way on a rural road became a matter of looking for the edges of the road way before I wandered off it. I had about 5 more "snow days" during my brief apprenticeship, but that one was the worst by far. I have, one time since, been in a worse white out condition, but for a virgin, that one was plenty. A few years later, working for the dept. of commerce, I was driving some other paper pushers from El Paso TX to Colorado Springs, in a government Chrysler K car in late April. I saw a bigger blizzard.

Halloo my dear! It's cold and raining here, so I was just thinking of England.

And you'll be thinking right - it was so dull today that it was fully dark by 4pm. Great for the festive lights though! Plus I like to sit by candlelight sometimes and pick up and instrument and play whatever comes to my mind.
