Southern Redneck slang for pointy toed boots. You see a cockroach on the floor, trap it in a corner and kick it with your pointy toed boots, because all Rednecks wear Pointy Toed Cowboy boots.

We had cockroaches in Iowa. When we climbed on the roof of the Legion at midnight they would go scrambling. I've never actually seen one here in Minnesota.

A few decades ago I worked at an auto repair shop and found a roach in the microwave. I turned it on for a few minutes and the roach was not moving afterward. A few minutes later he was crawling around again. The radiation just stunned him.

I’m kind of weird about string trees.

I like the look of them, but I don’t actually use them.

Here’s a closeup of my Strat headstock. I pass the strings right over top of the tree. You have to look really closely to see that I’m not using the tree. I do this just for that little extra bit of tuning stability.

I float my Strat bridge and use the bar quite a bit.

Thats a great idea about tuning stability.
I never thought of using the tree in that manner or purpose.

I do use them myself, I favor the bar ones but use them all.
