You can't post these babies too many times.

You flip guitars, and you do it well. You may give our resident deal maker, esge a run for his money for # 1 flipper for profit or better gear!!

I only wish the last part, for profit or better, was true! Most of the time I end up loosing a little then once in a while I make a lot so it probably evens out...I hope!

So the wavecaster is Jimmy rigged. If was made by a guy named George Fedden in Long Island but it came with a Warmouth neck. I replaced it with a neck off an ESP Vintage Plus. That is how ESP built the one they made for Kirk. Some guy in Louisiana made a few others as well with different ESP necks on Fedden bodies.

The Birdfish is still in production and supposedly limited to 500 units but I don't think Uli Teuffel is close to the 500 cap yet. This was #169 from 2005. They are super expensive but I was a victim of circumstance. Normally they sell around $15-16K new and I think a custom stand is like $1500 and a case $1100 and a gig bag like $600 or something like that. Anyway I found this one a guy in Canada was selling for $8500 with a stand case and bag so I was like, hmm still a lot of money but a pretty good deal overall as every one i see listed is more without all the accessories so I bought it. Then, UPS loses it en route. They say they have a box fallout. I am crapping my pants because Purolator the outbound shipper caps insurance at $5K CAD so best case they find it mangled and I can use the insurance to fix it but total loss, I might be SOL for like $5K. After dozens of calls to different people across north america, it finally shows up at UPS's lost and found in KY. The ATA flight case saved it but the stand and bag were lost for good. That's fine by me as I don't need them and Purolator goes ahead and refunds me the full $5K CAD for the loss because those items are so expensive. So basically I ended up getting a $15K guitar for like $5K and found a QuikLok stand for $25 that works just fine with it.

RVA I will keep you in mind if I ever decide to ditch the ESP strat. It is pretty awesome.

Not wanting to renege on the buyer/seller reputation RVA has set forth, I did have a sudden unexpected/semi-expected influx of cash today. Went ahead and picked up this 2011 R9 from Japan with factory Bigbsy. A little concerned about the 59 neck profile as I generally don't like thick necks but I have never played an R9 before. I have played R7 and R8 and did not like. Also R0 and I am OK with that! Wish me luck! I'm a sucker for Les Pauls.

I do have 3 I need to unload though. 92 Les Paul Classic Plus HCSB, 13 R0 plaintop washed cherry, and 15 TH 1960 monster flame lemonburst. If anyone is interested, ping me.

Wow, that is a nice pickup!!! You had one where you added a Bigsby, right? Is that one of the 3 you are getting rid of now?

Yes I had a 2016 Traditional T that I ended up selling. It was a REALLY nice guitar but there were a couple of things I didn't like about it. The weight was around 10.5 pounds, this is a full pound lighter. It had the large headstock like the LP Custom which never looked right to me. I missed the look though so hoping this one will fill that void.

Hey guys. New to the forum. My buddy RVA referred me (if that is his handle here?...PM me so I know for sure). Will take a look around more later as I have time.

As for myself, live in Vegas, been playing since '87 and have a fairly extensive collection of guitars, mostly ESPs but also a couple Les Pauls, a Tom Anderson Pro Am, Jackson Rhoads, Godin Multiac, and even a Teuffel Birdfish. Now if I can just find the first generation AVRI strat I am looking for :fingersx:

Look forward to chatting with you all in the future! :victoire:

Welcome, Big Daddy-O B.! As a new "member," may I paint your yoo-hoo gold? It's kinda my thing.
