The first concert I attended. My father took my brother and I. The girl sitting next to my father puked on his shoes. When we got home my mother asked "How was it?" My father's reply was "They can go to the next one on their own." I was 16 my brother was 14. The next concert I drove my Dad's VW van loaded with friends.

My first concert as well. I saw him with the Edgar Winter group in 1972. I was 12. My mom took me. It was the first of many, many shows...no one puked on us, but I think I got high???

The openers were Rare Earth and Uriah Heep and the tickets were $4.50.

What year did you see him? Openers? Ticket prices?

Johnny Winter And were the opener. John Mayall was the headliner. I think it was 1970. No idea what the ticket price was. John Mayall was awesome as well. He had Harvey Mandel on guitar, Larry Taylor on bass, and Don “Sugarcane” Harris on violin. It was a shame they had to follow Johnny. They were great but Johnny was at the top of his game and Rick Derringer was playing with him. Very hard act to follow.
