Happy Thanksgiving!

Those celebrating Thanksgiving. What food are y’all throwing down? Going traditional with turkey and all the trimmings….. or going in a different direction?

We haven’t done traditional in years. Few years ago we did Mexican. My youngest and his wife prepared the meal. Knocked it out of the park. This year we’ll be doing a beef tenderloin. Most likely grilled if the rain hold off.

What are the chances - last Wed. my wife turns on the oven - no bueno.
Turkey and the fixin's!!!!
I got it fixed by late Sunday afternoon but the timing - we had to take the turkey out of the freezer by Sunday, so I had to move fast.

I tried to sell her we can just get a ham, slice it and heat in the large toaster oven, but...

We have a gas cook top and electric oven. One evening (not thanksgiving) Had been preheating oven and had whatever we were making already to go in to bake….. when we lost power. Fortunately I was able to fire up the grill and use it as an oven. Temperature control was a bit tricky and timing was thrown off. Didn’t turn out perfect…. But we ate and were happy.
