I really wanna be a Strat-inclusive guy. Since the mid-'90s, I've almost always had one, probably 5 or 6 total over the years. Mostly cheap, to midline. I went through a Strat phase early on, but then gravitated towards Teles and then Pauls (both P90 and hb versions). I keep one in the stable just because, but it rarely gets played. Doesn't fit my main (punk rock and roll) band at all, even though I know lots of punk rockers have played Strats. In my side cover band, our lead singer plays a Strat, so I avoid mine to have a different sound.
This is the one I'll probably stick with, a Classic 50s Series (MIM). It's a nice guitar, but I prefer shorter (Gibson) scale, rosewood boards, and different types of pickups.
