Ive ate many crawdads ( well crayfish to most but thats the name we use in the sticks lol) but i have never eaten them in the traditional " Pinch the tail, suck the head" manner. Usually just pull the tails like mini lobsters.

On the topic of that method: that description can get VERY misconstrued in the wrong setting lol

Its Mardi Gras aka Fat Tuesday aka The Day before 40 days of Lent aka Go out and get blitzed, toss shiny beads in public so women flash ya while gorging yourself on King Cake and Cajun/Creole food ( i think that last part is more an American thing but hey, spread the tradition in the UK! lol)

The best Karneval celebration I attended was in Freiburg, in the Black Forest. Five days of insane fun. They know how to do it right. From Friday until Tuesday night, lots of sinning like it's your last day on Earth, then church on Wednesday. My home area of Mainz also has an excellent Fasching Celebration, but I have yet to make it there. The last several years I have been trying to get there for that.

I'm sure that even with Covid, Duesseldorf will also try to outdo itself.

not much of a Mardi Gras.

Had a King Cake a couple weeks ago when visited my Mom in Mobile AL.
I even have a fine art Print Depicting Joseph Stillwell Canes original ride ---Old Joe Cane baby!!!)

The Print can be seen resting behind some other Southern Originals........USA PEAVEYS BABY!!!!
