So glad He listened to the players, the parts in England got added to the bassman circuit & then teamed with a closed back cab with celestions. If you ever get to play the jtm45 then jtm50 then plexi in a row...you hear the progression of rock tone. He put the mid out & the circuits are so good. Turn em up..they dont need much but volume to come alive. The picking dynamics ..what you put into your guitar will be exposed...guitar vol & tone riding so many ways to rock. Marshall !!!!
yes !! The DSL is prob the best representation in the new era. ..The DSL is literally the Marshall that can do it all !! cheers to all Marshall !!Agreed...
I played a 2203/2034 combination for over 20 years. I have to say that my DSL40C - despite being produced overseas - sounds every bit as good as my 2203/2034 when played through my Jackson 4x12 cabinets.
You can hear how they worked to preserve that early tone in these new amps...
I bought that book as soon as it was released. Great stuff!
All Marshall’s have that very distinct tone even the MG’sAgreed...

My 2 full stacks that I like to play loud, I am at least 15’-18’ away, mid power setting on the origin’s and volume at 2 1/2 - 3 and the amps are about 14’ apart out to outHow far do you all stand from your speakers? do you stand on axis or off? Do you use ear plugs?
Even when I have the opportunity to crank any amp, say my 18w TMB, with 1 12" Eminence Legend (which is a higher sensitivity / louder speaker), standing in front about 10ft away, I cant take the volume.
Yeah I know, if its too loud I'm too old.... but what say you?
