Happy Birthday Neil Young

That was awesome.

You… @JohnnyGoo and @Session 5 have all done a Cinnamon Girl Cover. If memory serves. Norm did two. First one mostly clean and the second time a little dirtier. You’re all making me feel bad. Gotta work something up to share.
Thanks. This is one of the tracks from my first time doing multi-track recording in my studio during a practice.

Refresh the page, tap on the video title to watch on ScruTube. The embeds functionally suck lately. I think it’s them, not us, though.
I actually did some of that. Maybe it had to do with being on my phone and not the laptop…. (Shrug shoulders)

I did bail out of TTR since sometimes that’s worked. Even shut down Safari because again…. Sometimes that’s worked. When all else fails, try a reboot. That worked.

You guys are shaming me into doing it. Need to go retune a guitar to Double Drop D.
So I did sit down with my acoustic. Mistake. Haven’t played in too long and it’s strung with 12s….. my finger tips hate me now. :pound-hand:

I did eventually drop the E strings to D and did some Cinnamon Girl. Poorly since by then my fingers were shot.

Now go figure out Ohio in that same tuning.
I think I have Ohio in an old song book. Bunch of rock and folk tunes in it from multiple artists from the 60s and really early 70s. Have to check it out, but betting it’s in standard tune there.

Alot of times if you see Neil Young playing live if he plays Cinnamin girl he alot of times plays Ohio or vice versa. Think its the only 2 songs he uses this tuning.

Big celebration by Canadian Musicians, for Young turning 80. Massey Hall in Toronto. Massive renovation was done a few years back. Many many big names have played in this historic building over the years.
