Going as best as it can.
Still working, but I haven’t been playing much lately..
Hope all is well with you my Pennsy brother .
You know, thinking back to when we met on MF. Musically what brings me back every time no matter how much of a slump, Is a Marshall cranked properly with a Boss SD1 jammed in it with humbuckers ! The garage bro ! Fire up them bad boys loud & proud jus like we been doing for decades !

Will do my brother, they have not been put out to pasture, and neither have I.

Nice ! The familiar mojo that happens when a Marshall power section is up in its intended volume zone ! I sold everything & have JVM410h & modded plexi. For uglies run the mesa V twin recto pre into it for down tune. But that is fading a bit for more stuff we grew up on. really favoring Screaming For Vengeance by JP , VH 1, Fair warning, Kill em All,

All great references, I would add Black Sabbath, UFO, Scorpions, Maiden, and a few more of the others that I grew up with as well.

Great hearing from you bro, keep the riffs flowing my friend.

Oh yes all them for sure ! Think am feeling the boosted JMP transition into JCM800 a lot & realizing how the clarity is there, but it is in the volume of the M circuit coming up that brings the aggression. Possibly have been masking tone last few years with too much gain & that fizz sorta enters, especially at lower volumes. We gigged outside this summer a lot & got to run wide open like old days. The JVM on chan 2 set like 800, boosed at volume did all the stuff i was using pre gain for last few years.

Hey Den I did start contributing some riff ideas with a Christian group called Outfall, that our friend Robert Herndon was playing with.
We don’t play out, so no gigs.
But I am at least working a bit with some guys close to my age, that has been a big inspiration.
But Jeffery the other guitarist has just gone through a carpel tunnel surgery, and we haven’t gotten together in a couple of months now.

Incredible to hear. I remember Robert working with them. Interestingly our Thursday band practice has become more about the fellowship & brotherhood. Sorta a chance to vent & get some energy out into the music and reboot a bit . Keep me posted on how you are doing. Enjoy the playing with others at our ages for all its worth !
