Playing my guitar.

For the past year my life has been full of changes, some good, some not so good. Almost every aspect of my life has gone through a lot reformatting. New job, the loss of my daughter and 2 best friends. Car problems, medical issues for both my wife and myself. Working a day job + being on call every other week, + running my own business from home. There is just not enough time in the day or days in the week to do what I WANT to do, not just what I HAVE to do.

Tonight I came home from work and went straight into my office/music room/workshop/ turned on my computers and plugged in my 339. I played till my fingers hurt. I wish I was so much better at making music. I wish I would have never given up playing when I became a father. I so enjoy listening to some of the membership here that posts their sound clips. Tonight I felt like I actually belong here when I was playing my guitar.

At first I thought you were going to write "a warm gun" and post the Beatles song, but your post is a lot better.

You should be proud of what you have created here, Grant. TTR is not a big forum, but I think that for a lot of the members here (certainly for me at least) it is their favorite one. What we have here is the perfect blend of good information, helpful people from different walks of life, musical tastes and complete and utter madness. People are polite and when controversial matters are brought to light people stay civil.

The Tone Rooms is my happy place. Thanks for giving it to us, Grant.

Damn you, Adrian. That made me go to my beer fridge to crack open a fresh can of Guinness. AND I DISCOVERED I'M OUT OF IT! Now, ahem, the beer fridge is chock full of other stuff; IPAs, double IPAs, bock beers, barley wine, pale ales, blonde ales, pilsner and sour beers, but I really wanted an easy drinking stout. Oh, well, I'll settle for one of my own IPAs.

I've had a few people thank me for this site, but I need to set the record straight. Ray and Adrian approached me with the idea of making this site. It was their idea, I'm just the code monkey that set this up a couple of years ago. It is the input from all of you members that makes this site what it is. Without y'all, this site would be nothing! Ray and Adrian have far more input here than I do. So thank you Ray! Thank you Adrian! Thank you to ALL of our members for making this site what it is!!!!!

Subs and the Gotti movie with Travolta - which is what's going to be going on in my life tonight...

Update:
The baked subs and the movie was Gotti were great. Travolta knocked it out of the park. They could of kept the language down some, but, what ever. Another movie I thought was great was Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks. I kind of figured Travolta would do in Gotti, but I just couldn't see Tom Hanks doing a hit man in Road to Perdition, but he knocked it out of the park too...

Guinness is for sissies. You need a manly beer: you know, the kind you need to drink ice-cold
while sitting shirtless on the front porch, wearing shorts, knee-high white socks, and boots.
