Teles with humbuckers are very nice!

Yes, sonically. I have a bunch of HH teles (some blade buckers). As I had said many times, when it comes to Teles I like the hang but not the twang!Ray, How so? I am assuming you mean sonically.
Do you have a complete Tele or 2 or more that are your point of reference? I actually have never tried one nor heard one up close.
I don't mind twang in someone else's hands, but it is not suited to my style of play.Gotcha, Ray.
Since you know me, I like all types of sounds. Twang, Shred, Thumps and Soaring leads. Heck I even like Accordians and Mexican music

Sweet guitar. I don't particularly care for that music, but it's cool that it's got a real workingman's history to go along with it. My guess is that it has been Plekd if it were made specifically for an artist. I don't think that many makers let those slip out the door without a Plek job now.

I had a HH Tele once. It was cool and all but every time I played it I looked across the room at my Les Paul and said "you can do this a hell of a lot better" so I sold it.
