Guitar tones you are "SUPPOSED" to like.... but don't

When I hear Chorus delay reverb on guitar not happy most hide behind it same with distortion stomp box
was it I was to poor when starting out all the Blues masters I watched just amp and guitar they used talent
one of the best was Ronnie Montrose live 1959 Les Paul 100 watt Marshall he did use delay on a few songs but it was clean

Great examples! I saw Gary Moore once time back in the early 80's and he opened for someone big, can't remember who. But he walked out on stage with just a LP and a half stack, in a white t shirt and blue jeans. Then proceded to tear the place to the ground.
