Hey, Don...I always use a 50 foot cable, even at my home studio....usually, its a 50 foot into effects and a 10 or 20 foot to the amp or amps...how much capacitence am I adding??? Must be a good bit...sounds thinner on a 6 foot cable...
That's about 1.5nF you are adding. Yup, that's a fair chunk of top cut. Have you thought about a battery powered DI box close to the guitar?
Pretty much spot on - I used 100pF per metre.
Hmmmm most cables are advertised as 29.5 pF/ft...I really like the cut!!!!!
