Maybe they got their second wind.

Maybe.
I went to a Guitar Center for the first time in a couple of years last week and was shocked at both how much stock they had and how busy it was in the middle of the day.
The Guitar Sinner in Pasadena is busy all the time...
I used to live in Pasadena, and it was constantly busy for sure. Actually, it put Rose Music out of business I think. That was a great independent music shop, but they were just down the street and couldn't compete I think.
I remember guys talking about Rose Music!!!!

Too bad i didn't know you were gonna be there, it's 5 minutes from my home.My recent trip there was spur of the moment. I found out they had a vintage 4x12 Jackson cabinet and I had to go grab it on a Sunday afternoon.

Pasadena is the GC location that ignited my resurgence into playing guitar again after a 40+ year abstinence. Actually it was my oldest grandson receiving a guitar for Christmas that got me gassing for a guitar again. Arthur Lee was my inspiration for getting a SG and GC was the closest place to go check one out.Next time I head that way I will message you first!
