Guess who got an amp today!

Every time I see this thread, I think to myself,

"Guess who got an amp today?
That wild-eyed Steve that'd been away
Haven't changed, had much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy
They were askin' if you were around
How you was, where you could be found
Told 'em you were livin' downtown
Drivin' all the old maids crazy..."

... THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

great! Now that's stuck in my head.:cautious:

And here I thought the proper way to “season” an amp was the EVH method. Dime everything. Lean the guitar against the amp for max feedback. Walk away for 24 hours.

Edit: Don’t know if that’s fact or not. Was an excerpt from an article I read in a guitar mag years ago. Could be urban legend for all I know.

My first show with my Origin 50H was 6 hours with the master on '8' and the volume "throttled" with a Boss FV30L through the FX loop.

I'm not sure an amp requires any seasoning really...speaker cone break in, yes...

I never have songs interrupt my sleep. Fir me it's always my mind racing around as I lay awake trying to figure out how to squeeze 10 days worth of stuff into a 5 day week.
Oh for sure. I get that as well. Been there done that.

For me though…… While I’m an average musician at best…. I have lived and breathed music since late 60s early 70s. Genre almost doesn’t matter, but primarily rock. I hear a line on TV and it’ll make me think of a song I haven’t thought about in decades. Same when in conversation with people. Music for me really is therapy. I can fall asleep listening to heavy metal. So whether awake or asleep, I pretty much always have some tune going in the gray matter.

An example. Woke about about 4 this morning. Woke up from a dream. Almost immediately had the John Hyatt tune “Child of the Wild Blue Yonder” playing in my head. Had nothing to do with the dream. Haven’t heard or thought about the song in a long time. It was just there. Wish I could explain.

Interesting!!!!

When I wake up, I have this laundry list of things that need to be accomplished playing in my head.
