The band in this thread are clearly a tribute band, but not that many folks could do a LZ tribute band well, and they do it well. They have talent, sound good, but it'd be nice to see them branch into their own sonically created/creative space.

Those are baggy compared to what I saw in the video on GVF bass and guitarist....

If nothing else they might get a whole new generation to BUY MORE ZEPPELIN ALBUMS! And that horribly untalented group of hacks from the 70's will continue to grow and impress a whole new era of musicians......... ;)

AND for this reason alone .....I really like them lol

Rock N Roll !!!!!

I regulalrly talk music and movies with my 20-something employees. They are never aware of the original that was copied.

But, if this does happen, it will mean royalties for the authors of the Zep songs that were added to the writing credits after litigation. I am sure they will appreciate the extra dough.

...I remember when I was 14 and all the older people hated Aerosmith and said they were nothing more than a Rolling Stones rip off band and they'd never last.

I think they will.

Is RVA softening up?

I bet RVA has that Dragon suite that Robert is looking for!

And then there were those that actually did stink and were never heard from again. For every success story, there are 10,000 failures

I’ve spent the last few days listening to the GVF album, after watching some videos a few weeks back and I prefer listening to watching, but mainly because watching them reminds me how old I am.

I’m enjoying the whole nod to Zep vibe that’s going on with them. For my ears there is more pop sensibility in their songs than I’ve experienced with Zep and so i find it easier to listen to (at the moment at least).

I like that there are young guys out there who choose to rock out and who better to emulate than one of the most respected rock bands of all time?

I’m certainly looking forward to hearing what they do next. I think that is going to be the test of their longevity and ongoing popularity.
