Got to Love it, Girls who Shred- ALICE, NIKKI, LITA, NITA...

Umm MIKE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I got home today to a wonderful expected package. Our friend and forum mate, Sysco was nice enough to offer to have me send him my Tube Screamer to see if he could fix it for me. After letting the dogs out and a few other chores, I opened up the nice Priority mail box, installed a 9v battery and plugged up my 3 Knob. Oh yeah does it sound good when I kick in the pedal.

Thanks so much Sysco!!!!

Oh wait,,,,,,,,,,,, HA HA, I see a nicely painted woman up there.

Damn, I love this place!!
Bravo brothers.

It is amazing what a subtle and great tubescreamer can do.

I was demoing mine last night with the ES LP through the BE 100 model on my AX8. Well, my Maxon OD808. When I bought the OD808, I thought, "no way can this pedal be $125 better than my Bad Monkey!" ...yeah. The OD808 never leaves my pedal chain.

I was toggling between the OD808, my RangeMaster clone, and my Vick Colorsound Overdriver (also a clone - which is more fuzz/distortion Rat-type than what we think of as a modern "overdrive"). As often as not, I had two on at a time, sometimes all 3!

So fun, it is borderline embarrassing.

Gratuitous recent pic of the ES LP. (y) :X3:

Also last night: playing The Who's See Me, Feel Me, Overture, and 1921. Kick on the OD808 and the AX8 pitchsifter and suddenly I am playing Rush's Hemispheres.

I'll tell you what: I was very impressed by Chili's TS-9. Very musical interaction between player, guitar, and amp. And these Ibanez/Maxon pedals are built like tanks... Same goes for the BOSS pedals, too.

Getting back to Ms Nita Strauss... She's a damn fine guitar player on any level. It just so happens that she is very attractive and her stage presence is so drool worthy...

Nita has this one video where she is performing the guest intro to a backing track in a hotel room, and her tone is so amazing...it's just mind boggling to me, because we struggle in a modern studio to get that tone, and I am not talking phrasing or fingers, or that sort of thing, but the mix quality and tone of the guitar and the fullness of the single string passages, to me, that's drool-worthy....
