Got straps?

So, I'm kind of addicted to guitar straps, I love them.

Recently I got this oxblood colored leather strap by Walker & Williams, along with a new capo.

Jessica looks really cool with it, doesn't she?

Just like a good leather holster for a Colt Peacemaker.

And it wasn't expensive at all. Great bang for the buck. Available on Amazon.
Very shexshy, very macho man strap, Sérgio. You are channeling Ricardo Montalbán with that strap...genuine hand-tooled Corinthian leather. The chicks will dig it!

I used to have a fancy strap but soon discovered it won't fit it an SG hard case

These days I am very boring with straps. An Ernie Ball cheapie with Dunlop strap locks on my SG Standard and the rest all have DiMarzio ClipLock straps, the bass has the wider type and they are all black except for the camo one on my SG Junior.

Gear GAS here drove me to this - but at a great sale price $10.99:

along with a couple of plain cotton ones, want to compare how much cotton slides around vs poly.

I'm pretty boring when it comes to straps. Each guitar has its own plain black Lester strap, the kind shown in the post above, only no fancy embossing or backing, just plain leather with a roughish underside, though my SG's strap features a large white Celtic crucifix on it (to invoke a bit of an Iommi vibe). Oh, except my telecaster that has a cloth top, leather backed Fender strap & my not too long ago acquired 50's tribute LP that is at the moment sporting a cheap black nylon job with a (rediculous) white flame motif printed along it, that I took from my squier strat (which got relegated to a decrepit & grubby old Fender strap). And now I've just bought another Lester (that I'd best post about), guess its time to shop for some new plain black leather straps. That was a long rant about straps. Cheers

IMG_8976.JPG IMG_8977.JPG IMG_8978.JPG I put a strap on each one of my guitars. I have some that are plain as a mud fence and then I have the ones that are plain as a mud fence. I use them for silly stuff like not dropping a guitar. I practice at home on a concert floor and at the main studio has a concert floor. The studios themselves have wood and cool rugs. I stay outside with the people I work with. The straps and a couple rubber washers hold the the guitar close and I have never dropped one.
I have thrown a few. The person I hit get to keep the guitar. My way of saying thank you for not calling the police again. Tia is the winner and she has the bumps and stitches to prove it. She also has a very nice guitar collection. This is a photo of Tia playing one of my guitars even before I hit with it. I throw stuff at her because she can and has kicked my ass more than once. She is from China and learned that fighting there. She did get a belt for getting a bump on the head. She has all of them and other stuff. Some guys ears from when we lived in New York City. Other body parts too, now guitars.

<<<<<<<<< has One like Sergio, Kerry, Rva that my girlfriend gave me for Christmas. It goes on my ES 135 and '76 SG because those 2 don't have strap locks. My other guitars go like this. Strats, Tele and P basses have Levy's/ Fender Leather or like the nylon type with Schaller strap locks. My Gibsons have leather or nylon type with Dunlop straplocks.

I got the plain cotton ones last week for $5.99. They are very comfortable and dont slide around easily like the poly ones.
They dont grip like a wider suede or rough leather back you might look for combating neck dive.

Weird, once again I cant post a link. EDIT, had to cut off the https/
It is Musicians Friend Perri's 2 in. Cotton Guitar Strap with Leather Ends Army Green
I got the nicer leather one too but have not tried it yet. It is much thicker than the basic leather ones I have, which are just fine too.
it is a bit shorter though - but looks like the last loop will be good.

Ok, I had to get a strap for my Heritage 80 Standard Les Paul as it doesn't have strap locks (Grolsch washers) & both my other LP's & straps are fitted with them. I've been using the grubby, decrepit old Fender strap off my Squier. Not the best strap for a Lester & really dug into my shoulder so I got a 3 1/2" wide DSL strap, black leather upper, dark brown soft leather underside, double stitched, main strap 36 1/2" length. Adjustable strap same double leather, double stitched & 27 1/2" length, so all up maximum length of 59 1/2". Man, a 3 1/2" wide strap with a soft leather underside is just sooo good with a Les Paul. No more shoulder hassles after playing for a few of hours. Gunna have to get one for my Traditional also, the lighter 50's tribute can have the 2 1/2" wide strap off it. Cheers
Edit: Thought I'd best throw a pic up, else it didn't happen WP_20180809_001.jpg
The only problem with it is it doesn't really fit easily into the compartment of the chainsaw case. Cheers

I have about 30 straps (one for each guitar), most are branded and predictable, occasionally I lash out.
I like this living with the SG, was in a silly mood the day out shopping for for SG strap.

I grabbed a Danelectro after a night listening to Kashmir over and over again. Somehow this strap just fits in with that vibe.
