GOT GAS--talk me dddown

Dude--- we have 9 dogs --4 cats--- a Parrot and a couple other birds....in the house---- pigs goats and a million other birds outside--chickens.....other stuff.....

there is ALWAYS a fury friend "helping" me. .......that is Ben --- he is a Wheaton Terrier ---awesome dog. he is 12 and acts like he is 2 -- runs plays --- healthy as an ox.

Status Report: ---yes I should be working----or "prepping" or evacuating---- or something other than dicking with amps---but I am not---

I have discovered the "dirt" models on the CODE are good--- the CLEANS --- are FOOGIN amazing---- without much trouble I used a JCM800 model, pulled the gain and distortion......picked a 12" cabinet model......and compared BACK to BACK (well top to bottom the Marshall is sitting ON the Panama) a REAL 5 watt tube amp clean----and the Marshall CODE clean -- WOW ---I mean WOW very very very damn close-- the CODE even does the "break up" when you strum light or really dig in--- now -- that model isnt AS GOOD or "real" as the "digging in " break up of the Panama (being honest here) ---but give me time I will find a model that I bet is real damn close

and consider the 5 watt Panama head/cabinet combo would run you around 500 + and the CODE was delivered for 150

Prepping and evacuating is stressful.
Playing a new amp is relaxing and soothing.
I can't fault your choice. You're only taking a break.
Besides, your still waiting on plywood and a generator.
Not to mention that we're both waiting on Flying V's.

Plywood delivered this a.m.---

got the cuts marked......will take about 2 hours to knock it out---- waiting till tomorrow on that --

Even the clients that WERE at work early today have all bugged out now--- trying to make a sales calls right now would be viewed as rude---people are getting businesses and homes ready---

I got my plans ready----- A or B -- just waiting to see which way Irma "zigs" so I can properly "ZAG" :) .....and playing with my new toy--- its like a SNOW day when your a kid lol

only with the spectre of imminent death and destruction, lost wages, carnage, and people getting hurt looming .....no stress......

Current track has the storm East of us early Monday MOrning......

Find one and try it jtcnj

UPDATE--- the DOOM ROOM of BOOM .....honeymoon period with Marshall Code ---basically over....and I am still AMAZED with this things deapth of tone and the QUALITY of sound coming out of it---
YES--you have to fiddle and stinker with the knobs and effects and stuff to dial in something other than the CHEESY standard models---
And the power "AMP" button is good for one thing only METAL CRUNCHINESS OF EPIC PROPORTION on any model--but....dial that off....fiddle with knobs and some of the richest most AMAZING clean tones can be had ---FULL deap rich BOSE quality bass and depth---

Now the bad..stil cant get the damn "AP" to work on ANY of my cell phones (I have 3) 3 different brands 2 different operating systems (iphone and Android) none will run it ....deal breaker...... helll no Im 48 and have never owned an amp with an "ap" and frankly dont care if I ever do---

CODE is a WIN IMHO --- does it sound exaactly like a Bluesbreaker from the 60s probably not--- does it sound exactly like the other multiple Marshall models it mimics......probably not--- but its close enough to me.....and I can turn a knob and go from Cream to RATT to BB King and noddle for an hour and relax and smile and BULLSHIT of the day is left elsewhere........and life is good for a short while ........noodle therapy ------ nice

Good news. This is the first credibly good review I have heard. :yesway:

Regarding the bluetooth, I have heard that complaint before. Some Googling might bring you some solutions. Maybe. P:lol:

as RVA says ..."F" it..... I like the amp just fine bluetooth will just be something to piss me off lol

MARSHALL A<PLIFICATION update and comps---

Tried again to get the bluetooth to sinc.......no luck

ALSO tried plugging the thing in the computer directly via USB --- which if you have a MUSTANG by Fender this action (along with the FUSE software) opens a PLETHORA of damn near limitless eargasmic tonal variations.................Marshall.....er no.............

ON TO THE COMPARISONS

--- the side by side comps between the Mustang the CODE the MARSHALL Valvestate from the early 90's (Ol Scratchy) -- the Panama all tube 5w YUMMY fender Champ clone----and the Lil Sexy OWEGITONE all tuber sets the winner at.......................................................

Depends on WTF you wanna hear they ALL do at least one tone very very WELL. and there aint a stinker in the BUNCH!

The Panama is CHAMP tone heaven --takes pedals well and rocks
The Lil Sexy is just that --- damn sexy, clear rich all tube tone and great GRIT---more Fender Tweed "ish" than the Panama
THe Marshall Vavlestate is 80's Hair band brit METAL perfection ---think Metallica or Iron Maiden, Judas Priest , Megadeath type old school CHUG--(and a NICE Brit CLean as well)
The CODE is a very rich stroll down Marshall lane with many very nice tones from the HAY DAY of Marshalll Amplification (JVM's Plexi's Bluesbreakers et all)
The Mustang makes all those wonderful old Fender tones so well .........I am especially partial to the Twin Reverb model ---- just AMAZING and oddly it dials up a very NICE Orange tone--- and is also the WINNER of the techno ease award--- the FUSE software is idiot and bullet proof--- great KUDOS to Fender on that.

So ---- there ya have it a poop load of variation in a mini wall of low dollar amplification ----and a Marshall 15 head is yet to arrive ........oh the joy of electronic amplification

Stay tuned kiddies............

Nice comparison, very useful to include examples.

What is a typical Orange tone?
I know of them, but never heard one; have read it is a British type of sound.
Not really sure what that means either beyond Fender cleans vs Marshall crunch.
And the google / youtube doesnt really represent well through computer speakers.

I have almost bought a small Crush series SS or a hybrid Micro Terror on a few occasions.

Tried again to get the bluetooth to sinc.......no luck
I found this following info at Marshall support. The first is a firmware update:
Firmware Update - my.marshall.com

The second is a question/answer resolution:
"Hi. I had the same problem, as a work around open up the settings on your phone, go to Bluetooth and then switch the amp on & press the 'rev' and 'power' buttons together to enable bt pairing, you should see the amp as a new device on your phone to connect to / pair with. Tap to connect and you are good to go "

Both came from this link:
Marshall CODE 25 not pairing with iPhone - my.marshall.com

I love modeling amps --- sorry its a weakness......

ANYONE played or tried one of the Marshall CODE series??????

I am GASing for one.....

BUT -- if its just the same STUFF as my Mustang (that was 38.00 lol) then well --- why spend the $$$

But I do like the idea of ALL THOSE TASTEY MARSHALL TONES in one box......and the Mustang (TBTH) does VOX --Orange--ANd FENDER tones very well---- but the Marshall and PEavey and other models are "eh".

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Old Marshalls lying about you want to send me??????? (had to ask)
b_marshall_code25combo.jpg

I'm a bit late to the party, but is it too late to say

DO IT!!!

Buwahaaaaaaha done did it lol
Thanks Sysco I will try that when I get back to the swamp farm

Well that didn't work laptop froze during the up date and the CODE is not responding to anything,..........when turned on it says check usb and throws what I assume are error codes........

Musicians Friends --- are sending me a new one and I am sending this one back ----round two for the CODE ---- perhaps this time I will just say "F" the bluetooth.....
:)
