Got a job interview in 2 hours

It was a video conference call with the HR people who are located in Colorado.....but they are enthusiastic about me being a qualified candidate and a good fit for the position, so they are forwarding my resume to the team leads at the site local to me that I would be placed at....at least one of whom I already know...small town here...I figure I have a pretty decent chance. This could be the game changer I've been waiting for....I hope it is. I've been having headhunters offer me work for quite some time now, but I am not willing to relocate at this point in time, so I've had to pass on quite a few lucrative opportunities. But my kids are younger, I don't want to uproot them from their friends, and schools, and everything they know and love, just to drag them cross-country for some stinkin' job lol

I really love what you said here. More good wishes heading your way! Yeah, a 4x10 work schedule is great... especially if you get at least 2 days of in a row. If you get 3 days off in a row that would be the ultimate. Dem varmints, aka "kids", are your investment... :cheers:

I would have off from 8:30am Saturday mornings through 10pm Tuesday nights. I think I can handle that just fine.

I haven't worked a night job in years. I have before but I didn't hate it at all. I'm sorta naturally more of a night owl anyway, so with a short period of adaptation I think it shouldn't be too hard on me. Hopefully it's not too hard on the family though.

The last manager I worked under in this field was lucky I didn't have his balls in a vise. He is the very reason I left my last job. I was either gonna walk, or the chances of catching an assault charge would have just kept increasing lol

I left (mostly) peacefully

One of those former co workers called me up today....

Said they called him in...said he thought he was in trouble lol....then he said they quizzed him up all about me, said he put in a real good word and that I should expect another interview and then an offer....

At the risk of counting chickens before they hatch... it sounds an awful lot like I probably got this one in the bag, baby! There's no other applicants that have any experience in this field, so I think I've probably got it if I want it. And I do, very much so.

Dude coached me a lil bit about the interview too, so that was awesome.

Things are looking up, my friends.
