I emailed FedEx to see if I could send them pics and a receipt. Also emailed the seller too and asked him to contact FedEx.

I have a long-shot theory, which may prove to be completely wrong, but...

I see the description says the body is maple and the fingerboard is alder. I’m betting it’s the opposite - the body is alder and the fingerboard is maple.

I don’t know how these things work, but if they have a list of acceptable woods for the main guitar components, i.e., neck, fingerboard, and body, they may not be finding these woods listed for those components.

Again, a real long shot guess...

Looks to me the shipper was the one who made the error. I see what you are saying, I think Don O said the shipper is from Spain, could be confusion because of language differences.
 
The guitar has an ebony fretboard, a big buying feature for me. The seller is quite fluent in his emails and he has ran into this before with FedEx. He’s waiting for them to contact him.
