Gold Coffee

Bacon, one of the most marvellous Works of mankind.

We have a meat house here that makes homemade nitrite-free, lightly salted bacon with brown sugar and top quality pork belly. I Always buy it and lick my fingers afterwards.

Here's a pic I took:

Bacon - pork in general - has never held an allure for me...

I don't care for the aroma or flavor of their meat...

Probably a good instinct Robert. Pigs are damn close to us genetically (why you can put a pig heart in a human and all) and evidently our flesh tastes a lot like theirs (not independently verified but that's the rumor). They aren't dirty, unless humans make them live that way, but it is kind of creepy to eat something so closely related.

Would you eat monkey?

There are people who eat dogs, cats, pigeons, horses, monkeys, rats, snakes, bugs, sea bugs (shrimp and so on), etc...
It's all meat (I guess bugs are meat) - what we call pets a lot of people call food ;)
Some people like certain meats, some people don't, some people don't eat meat at all.
I pretty much feel the same about this as I do music - if you wanna eat it, eat it - if you don't, don't - lol.

Not a chance. For the same reason.

TBH, I am mostly phasing red meat and poultry out of my diet (still eat lots of fish) and only eat it very occasionally. It's not even the best way to get protein, and it's just not good for you. I always feel terrible after I eat meat, and I accept that as my body sending me a signal.

This is our every-day roast.

We get some of the single-origin and limited-release ones throughout the year but this is our staple. Kind of a slightly more complex mocha-java.

TBTH my favorite is the Chickory coffee from Cafe Du Monde in NEw ORLEANS LA.

Salmon is the most “refreshing” meat for me to eat, if that makes sense.

Though, I do occasionally take in a good ribeye cooked medium.

It does. It's not even my favorite fish but there is something about a good piece of salmon that is really satisfying.

I can't remember the last time I ate a steak. 5, 6 years maybe? The only beef I consume now is the occasional burger, maybe every 6-8 weeks. I do miss carne asada but its just not worth it.
